Remodeling your kitchen is a great way to greet spring. However, since summer is coming, you may want more than one kitchen. Sometimes, it’s better to wait until you have an outdoor kitchen to remodel the kitchen inside your house. Here are some tips for remodeling your kitchen without too much trouble.
Set Up a Temporary Kitchen
If you haven’t been able to afford an outdoor kitchen, don’t worry! You still have one more option. That’s to set up a temporary kitchen somewhere else in your house. Take the old cabinets, countertops, and sinks and have them form a makeshift kitchen until your full-sized one is up and running again. Microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens, and hot plates are all necessary, especially if you can’t use the stove or oven right now. Don’t forget about a coffee maker, tea kettle, and refrigerator!
Create a Tiny Office
Another idea is to create a tiny office. From here, you can pay bills and get any other important work done, especially if you need to oversee the work being done in the kitchen and you can’t go into your home office for one reason or another. All you need is room for a chair and someplace to put your laptop. Adding outlets, Internet access, and shelves can turn your small desk into a wonderland that will surprise you with how functional it is.
Get a Bigger Fridge
Leaving room for a larger refrigerator is also important. This will allow you more food storage. In the meantime, you can use filler strips to help fill in the gaps. Plus, you’ll have more room for shelving until the fridge arrives.
Add More Counter Space
Underestimating how much counter space you will need in your remodeled kitchen would be a mistake. After all, it’s fair to say that one of the reasons you wanted to do this in the first place was to have more room for cooking meals, whether you’re shredding a chicken or attempting to build a sandwich.
